Technology Innovation and Resource Consolidation of Crane Industry Led by XCMG Achieve Deep Integration with Internationalization

October 04, 2012

On June 20th, 2012, 130 large-tonnage truck cranes made by XCMG were fully equipped and ready for delivery at Lianyungang Port. Among these exported cranes, QY110K-1 and QY160K are the major products, and they have won great favor and trust of constructors around the world with advanced technology and extraordinary cost performance. With the lading of these products, the shipment of 6025 products made by XCMG was drawn to a close, and these equipments will give a good account of themselves in the South African construction projects across the Pacific.
June 20th, 2012 is an unforgettable day, not only because XCMG exported a large batch of large-tonage cranes, but also because China exported cranes of above a hundred tons in large volumes for the first time. Crawler cranes of above 600 tons have also been exported recently. These facts mean that the middle and low-end images of cranes made by China's manufacturers have changed fundamentally, and the hundred-ton cranes developed in China have been recognized by the international market with higher technology content.
These phenomena indicate that mainstream companies like XCMG are conducting deep integrations on the international market: on one hand, China's companies are expediting the construction of research centers in Europe and North America, and investment in setting up factories in emerging countries in the form of joint venture with foreign companies of the same industry; on the other hand, catering for the usage habits of different countries, regions and user demands, XCMG has developed dedicated cranes types such as the mountain-plateau type, alpine-cold type, damp-heat type and oil field type and so on.
Meanwhile, an entirely new technology platform centered on the enhancement of value in use (reducing energy consumption without impairing the performance) has been shaped up, and the design theory of "boundary extreme" has drawn wide attention. It marks that China's engineering machinery industry has achieved deep integration with different countries and regions, as well as various user demands.
