June 13, 2014
On May 10, an opening ceremony for the JV firm UZXCMG, which was jointly incorporated by XCMG and Uzbekistan National Railway Corporation, took place in Urgench City of Khwarazm viloyati State, and the ceremony was attended by Mr. Zakirova, Vice Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Mr. Lamatov (transliteration), Chairman of Uzbekistan National Railway Corporation, and Li Zong, Deputy General Manager of XCMG and General Manager of XCMG Excavator etc.
In September last year, Chairman of XCMG Wang Min, on behalf of XCMG, signed with Uzbekistan National Railway Corporation a document for founding the UZXCMG Excavator JV Firm, while being witnessed by Ajimov (transliteration), First Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Uzbekistan. Henceforth, both sides quickened their pace in promoting JV project, and eventually put into production the first lot of excavators in May this year.
Located in the Central Asia, Uzbekistan is a main producer of natural gas, coal, copper, petroleum, silver, and uranium, and it maintains favorable bilateral relationship and economic exchange with China. In 2013, XCMG exported 60 excavators to Uzbekistan at a time, creating the “First” in batch export of excavators to Uzbekistan. This time, XCMG joined hands with Uzbekistan to set up a JV firm, which is viewed as XCMG’s significant approach in further developing Uzbekistan market and radiating to the Central Asia, and also as another strategic bridgehead of XCMG for going global by virtue of resources of the others.
As a world-famous construction machinery vendor, XCMG boasts the most complete product lines, as well as advanced and reliable product technologies and quality assurance. The cooperation between Uzbekistan National Railway Corporation and XCMG receives high attention from the president of Uzbekistan, and the government will provide the JV firm with supports in all aspects, and ensure it healthy development, according to the Uzbek side at the opening ceremony.
