Major Breakthroughs of XCMG Large Elevating Platform Fire Truck
January 27, 2015
Recently, major breakthroughs have been made on XCMG large elevating platform fire trucks. DG100 and DG88 have smoothly completed special tests under extreme cold conditions and passed many international certifications.
By the middle of December, National Inspection & Test Center for Fire-fighting Equipment and XCMG jointly carried out special tests under extreme cold conditions (at -25℃) for DG100 and DG88 elevating platform fire trucks. Site technical personnel and commissioning personnel of XCMG’s hoisting machinery made joint efforts to smoothly complete over 140 tests (e.g. full extension test, working platform full-load/over-load test, maximum operating height test, maximum derricking test, continuous operation cycling, etc.). As a result, the products went through all the detailed and thorough performance tests.
The tests under extreme cold conditions offer data to perfect/improve XCMG’s large elevating fire truck design and computing platform, lay a good foundation for optimizing and upgrading subsystems attached, and provide a basis for formulating national standards for large elevating fire trucks. They also indicate that 100m-high elevating fire trucks made by XCMG have achieved the world state of the art in terms of performance and adaptability under extreme cold environment.
Meanwhile, DG54E which has smoothly passed the demanding tests carried out by certification authorities received the EU CE-certification. Obtaining CE certification is another breakthrough following the first exporting of XCMG’s 100m, 88m and 68m high elevating platform fire trucks to Angola in batches.
By virtue of nearly 20-year technological development, XCMG Fire Machinery Division is committed to providing comprehensive packaged solutions and all-around services regarding fire protection, and it owns six world-leading key technologies, and 150 patented technologies, including 37 patents for invention.
