XCMG's QAY300A all-terrain cranes have recently successfully lifted and installed a 100t electric shovel on Tibet's unfrequented Mila Mountain with an altitude of over 5,400 meters.

XCMG's QAY300A all-terrain cranes departed from Xuzhou, passed nine provinces and several cross-river bridges, and traveled over 3,700 kilometers in seven days to reach a mine in Maizhokunggar County on the Tibet Plateau. Long haul and high altitude was an acid test to large mobile cranes, posing harsh requirements to the chassis braking, driving reliability and up-hill & down-hill safety of products. Featuring free switch between three-axle drive and four-axle drive, XCMG's QAY300A all-terrain crane adapts to various working conditions.

As the altitude increases, the air pressure decreases and the air density reduces, the oxygen content per cubic meter of air decreases gradually. The oxygen content at an altitude of 5,400 meters is roughly 56 percent of that at the sea level. A rider visiting Tibet for the first time will feel under the weather, let alone a driver. Extremely low temperature, harsh environment and heavy crane load easily cause failure. 

Facing the low air pressure and temperature, XCMG showed its super strong environmental adaptability.
