Introduction

The girder fabrication yard at Jiao Zhou North Railway Station recently attracted extensive attention. As XCMG’s 550-ton girder erecting and transporting equipment successfully laid and erected the first pre-stressed concrete simply-supported box girder weighing up to 520 tons with span up to 32m, the erecting of 188 girders for Jiao Zhou North Railway Station Project of Jinan-Qingdao High-Speed Railway contracted by China Railway 10th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. kicked off.

In order to meet the complex requirements of existing construction conditions of the line, especially to solve the problems of erecting girder at large gradient of 29.98‰ and erecting girder with temporary tied arch and outside arch, XCMG Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. researched and developed 550-ton girder erecting and transporting equipment. TJ550 girder erector adopts dual-span &dual-support structure and the method of passing spans in step-moving way. It’s mainly used for transporting and erecting single-track precast concrete simply-supported box girders for high-speed railway, passenger dedicated line, intercity railway and connecting line high-speed railway. By adjusting the difference of ground jacks to offset the gradient of supporting surface and setting cross-sliding lifting and supporting mechanism, it better adapts to box girder construction complexity and stability. Its advanced technology leads domestic industry and its construction method fills the blanks of single-track box girder erection in China.

Due to tight equipment schedule and heavy task in terms of equipment utilization, XCMG Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. Completed work smoothly from schematic design to assembly and commissioning within less than 5 months by coordinating the allocation of project resources on the whole and full-cycle track in terms of quality control of components.
